Jaroslav Drábek Jr (1901–1996), a Czech lawyer, journalist and member of the Czechoslovak resistance movement during the Second World War, was the author of a lecture entitled “A Contribution to the History of the Beginning of the Czechoslovak Resistance”, which was presented on 9 December 1960 as part of the series “Contributions to the Development of the Idea of the Czechoslovak State” organized by the Czechoslovak Society for Arts and Science. The 33-page article includes descriptions of Drábek’s memories of his resistance activities, his escapes, interrogations, the Gestapo, and his colleagues in exile in London. Drábek also described other experiences from the postwar period, such as the arrest and torture of his colleague after the Communist coup. After February 1948, Drábek emigrated from Czechoslovakia. The document also includes a letter from the Czech scientist and prominent member of the anti-Nazi resistance, Professor Vladimír Krajina, who also emigrated after 1948. In his letter, Krajina mentions the fact that it was Jaroslav Drábek Jr who persuaded him to be active in the resistance during the Second World War.

It is estimated that the film archive of the Institute of National Remembrance in Poland consists of over 1500 archival units and includes videos made by civil and military departments of the State Security. The biggest part of the collection are the materials from different surveillance actions, including training materials for employees of state security. In the collection we can find:  - videos from manifestations in March 1968 and December 1970 – materials from invigilation of dissidents: Jan Józef Lipski, Jacek Kuroń, Adam Michnik, Leszek Kołakowski and organisations such as Workers' Defence Committee or "Solidarity" - materials documenting foreigners in Poland - both diplomatic residents and representatives of foreign governments, official visits of Fidel Castro, Josip Broz Tito or Richard Nixon. 

This is a detailed analysis made within the Ideological Commission, based on a study of the state of the social sciences developed by the Council on Scientific Research of the People's Republic of Croatia (PRC) and the results of information provided by certain groups of scholars or institutions. It is an analysis of previous scholarly research in certain social sciences and humanities and also work programs for the subsequent five-year period (1961-1965). The analysis encompasses economics, law, philosophy, sociology, pedagogy, psychology, philology, history and art history. In the analysis of each of these fields, an overview of institutions dealing with this discipline, its role in society, personnel issues, scholarly production, programs and plans for future work with critical reviews and suggestions for further work are presented. For example, in the field of historical science, a criticism was that the establishment of the Institute for the History of the Labour Movement of Croatia (IHLMC) was only then in preparation, and it was noted that these issues were artificially separated from the organic whole of more recent national history, for which there was no Institute, so that one needed to be established.

The document illustrates the considerable role of the Ideological Commission in guiding, among other areas, scholarly research in Croatia at that time. The work programs attached to each of the fields clearly outline the ideologically designed course that needed to go and clearly defined topics to be studied.

By 1995, the document was, along with the other records of socio-political organisations, a part of the Archive of the Institute of History of the Labour Movement of Croatia/Institute of Contemporary History. That year, in July, it was handed over to the Croatian State Archives (CSA) where it is kept today. The documents are accessible for use without any restrictions.

The collection consists of poetry and translations by the anti-Soviet partisan Bronius Krivickas (1919–1952). It comprises of six manuscripts: poems, and translations of Goethe’s poetry by Krivickas, when he was a guerrilla fighter against the Soviet regime.

In the Manuscript of Jan Čep, a book of the week for the radio broadcast of Radio Free Europe was prepared. In this paper, he introduced the novel ‘Fox and Camelia’ by Italian writer Ignazio Silone, to the audience behind the Iron Curtain. The novel is based on the contrasts of political ideology and human honesty, against the privacy of man to the indiscriminate means of political struggle. It condemns the conviction of certain methods of political struggle and violence. The presentation of this book was probably broadcasted on July 1^st, 1960.

Jan Čep had been contributing with the Book of the Week for almost fifteen years, from the start of the broadcast in 1951 until 1965. He was a member of Radio Free Europe with authors who have not been allowed to publish in the Communist countries. Jan Čep selected for this program mainly Catholic-oriented writers and new French and Anglo-American literature. Čep's work could not be published for almost forty years in Czechoslovakia. Until 1989, his work done under exile was also made available to Czech readers. His texts from the Book of the Week program in 2015 thanks to Petr Komenda and Jan Zatloukal, who worked on the materials from the archives of the Institute of Slavonic Studies in Paris, where Jan Čep lived in exile, was made available too.
