The collection consists of material about violations of the rights of national minorities and deportees, and people persecuted for anti-Soviet activities, as well as documents about samizdat publications and the persecution of believers. 

The Živko Kustić Collection represents a source for the study of Catholic journalism and Catholicism in Croatia generally as one of the forms of the culture of dissent in the socialist period. It is a private collection owned by Kustić's granddaughter Lucija Mihaljević.
