Lithuanian Communist Party Documents Subdivision of Lithuanian Special Archive
The Archive of Lithuanian Communist Party Documents was established in 2001, after the reorganisation of the Archive of Lithuanian Social Organisations. After 2001, the Archive of Lithuanian Communist Party Documents became a subdivision of the Lithuanian Special Archive. The Lithuanian Special Archive was established in 1995. Now the Lithuanian Special Archive has two more subdivisions: KGB documents and Ministry of Interior documents.
The Department of Lithuanian Communist Party Documents has no independent networking. In 2015 the Lithuanian Special Archive cooperated with archives in Israel (Yad Vashem) and the USA (Hoover Institute).
