Appeal for support for the Bethlen Gábor Foundation (1985): The people who were oppositional figures in the political milieu at the time and who created the Bethlen Gábor Foundation thought that the Hungarian Government was not doing enough to support and protect the Hungarian minorities, so they created the Foundation, which was tolerated but never sponsored by the Hungarian government. This document (created on 20 September 1985) sought support for the Foundation from people who believed in the importance of Hungarian culture in Hungary and abroad. The document contains a short history of the Foundation and the names of the 65 founders. The appeal is in the private collection of István Bakos.
