Donation of the Archbishop Frane Franić Collection to the Archdiocesan Archives in Split, 2007
In his last will and testament, the Split Archbishop Frane Franić left his papers and materials to the Archdiocesan Archives in Split. The archive was received it by Slavko Kovačić, an archivist and historian, after 2007. Archbishop Franić gave the first part of his personal archive in the early 1980s and the rest of it was assumed after his death. The archbishop's bequest is a significant source for the history of the Church’s opposition to the socialist regime in Croatia and Yugoslavia.
