Slobodan Tišma studied at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad and at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. He was a member of the Novi Sad group KÔD, culture editor of the Index periodical in 1969, editor of the literary program at Youth Tribune in 1970 and editor of the Polja periodical in 1971. The areas of his artistic work include conceptual art, happenings, poetry and rock music (with the bands La Strada and Luna). Today, he writes poetry and prose. He has published six books. His novel Bernardi’s Room won the NIN Award for the best novel of 2011. He lives in Novi Sad. (Milenković, 2012, p. 165)
