Charaszkiewicz, Edmund
Edmund Charaszkiewicz (1895-1975) was a Polish military intelligence officer, veteran of World War I, the Polish-Bolshevik War, the Third Silesian Uprising, and World War II. He was deeply involved in the organization of espionage, sabotage, and other forms of clandestine warfare. Charaszkiewicz was also one of the coordinators of the Promethean Movement during the interwar period and after World War II. From 1947 to his death in 1975, he was member and one of the leading figures of the Józef Piłsudski Institute in London. From 1972 to 1975, Charaszkiewicz supervised archival collections of the Institute.
