This network has organized an exchange among multiple East European secret police archives. Aside from highlighting national experiences, this cooperation also allows for better processing of the Communist past, as well as the streamlining and greater representation of interests. The founding members include institutions from Bulgaria, Poland, Rumania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany. In 2013, further archives from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Slovenia were given guest member status.
