Conference of the Polish Museums, Archives, and Libraries in the West
Set up in 1977, the Conference of Polish Museums, Archives, and Libraries in the West groups institutions located in Europe, North America, South America, and Australia. It began as a federation of Polish cultural institutions in exile. One of the initial goals of the Conference was the coordination of efforts that would oppose projections of Poland spread by communist propaganda. At present, the Conference enhances the intergration and cooperation of Polish cultural institutions located both in Poland and abroad.
