Forum Minority Research Institute
The Forum Minority Research Institute was established in 1996 by the nonprofit Forum and Katedra foundations in Dunajská Streda. Today it has two departments, in Šamorín and Komárno. The residence of the institution is in Šamorín.
The institution mainly focuses on research and documentation of the history of the Hungarian minority in Slovakia. The institution collects legal documents, books, newspapers, etc., makes oral history interviews, and organizes workshops and conferences. The institution has it is own publishing house.
Since 1999 it has partnered with the Forum Information Center, which works as an education centre and centre for regional development. In 2009 the Forum Institute established the Round Table of Hungarians is Slovakia.
