The alternative religious group Christian Community organized a camping excursion in Vas County by the Szajk Lakes on 11–21 August 1983. The members of the community who took part in this event came from different parts of Hungary. Their goal was to establish a sense of togetherness and discuss the community’s future plans. They also held a wedding ceremony for two members of the group. Two agents camouflaged as vacationers were sent by the state security forces to camp sites to take photos of the participants.
