The original creator of the collection, Krunoslav Draganović, did not donate the collection. The Croatian State Archives obtained the collection in two instances.
The first is the acquisition that occurred on 2 July 1999, when the Commission on Establishment of Wartime (WW II) and Post-war Victims handed the material over to the Croatian State Archives as mandated by law. The Commission submitted one of the copies previously made by Mr. Ante Beljo.
