Cinematography Commission of the Government of People’s Republic of Croatia (1947-1951)

Poster for the movie Ciguli miguli from 1952, the first banned film in socialist Croatia. The film, directed by Branko Marjanović and written by Joža Horvat, was meant to be the first satirical production in post-World War II Yugoslav cinema. It criticised Soviet-type bureaucracies. It was not granted a permit for public screening until 30 April 1977. It was broadcast for the first time on national television in 1989.
