The artist Saulė Kisarauskienė was born in 1937. She graduated from the State Art Institute of Soviet Lithuania in 1960, and later worked at Vilnius University. She was an artist and painter during Soviet times, and the wife of the famous artist Vincas Kisarauskas.

Ferenc Kisbarnaki Farkas (1892–1980) was a general in the Hungarian Army and together with Count Pál Teleki served as the main organizer of World Scout Jamboree that took place in Gödöllő in 1933. From 1942 until his death, Kisbarnaki Farkas held the position of chief scout in the Hungarian Scout Association and remained the main preserver of Teleki’s legacy. As an army general, Kisbarnaki Farkas left Hungary for Germany in 1945 and following the capitulation was charged with oversight of the affaires of Hungarian soldiers held in POW camps. Beginning in 1946, he played a leading role in the organization of the Hungarian scouting movement in exile until his death in Germany in 1980.

Kisfaludy, András

András Kisfaludy is a documentary filmmaker and former musician. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, he was a member of the famous youth gang "Kalef" (in 2006 he also made a film about the gang). From 1968 to 1971, he was the percussionist in the underground band "Kex.”Thanks to the great variety of genres (folk, rock, jazz, etc.) and extravagant character of the János Baksa-Soós "Kex,” the concerts were frequently visited by the people in the artistic scene in Budapest. The concerts were a mixture of music, happening, and performance.

In the 1980s, Kisfaludy worked at the Hungarian Television as an editor and later as an independent director contributing to TV series for kids. Since the 1990s, he has been working as an independent filmmaker. He is also the president of the Association of Hungarian Documentary Filmmakers.

Kisiel, Ryszard

Born in 1948, social activist, creator of the underground magazine "Filo" (1986) - one of the first Central-Eastern European non-heteronormative zines. He was co-founder of "Lambda", first official LBGTQ association in Poland (1990). He was always interested in photography and used to take a lot of photographs during his private queer sessions in 1980s' Poland. His actions were undertaken partly as a way of opposing the anti-gay witch-hunt started by Polish militia. As he was living on the Polish seaside, he had also a lot of contacts with foreign press and gay culture. For him, socialist Poland was not a welcoming place to live in and providing gay community with the first gay magazine was his way of subversing the dominant narrative.
He is a main character of Karol Radziszewski's documentary "Kisiel". Part of his rich collection is being exhibited by Radziszewski as a part of Queer Archive Institute.

Kiss Gy., Csaba

Csaba Gy. Kiss (1945) is a Hungarian historian, literary historian, and former politician. He studied Hungarian and German language and literature at Eötvös Loránd University (graduated in 1968), after which he worked at the Research Institute of Higher Educational Pedagogy until 1971. He worked at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Institute of Hungarian Literary Study (1974–1977, 1981–1985) and as part of the Research Group of East-European Literature at Eötvös Loránd University (1978–1981). He was one of the founders of the Bethlen Gábor Foundation, and he worked in the secretaryship of the Foundation after 1985. Between 1986 and 1992, he worked at the Research Institute of Hungarian Culture. In 1987 he contributed to the foundation of the Hungarian Democratic Forum, and until 1993 he was one of the main members in the leadership of the party. From 1988 until 1992 he was a co-worker at the periodical ’Hitel’ (Credit). He was the director of the Central-European Institute (1992–1995), and from 1995 he has taught at the Culture-Historical Faculty of Eötvös Loránd University. He has written several studies on the literature of Central-Europe.
