An afternoon from the sixties - a presentation of dr. László Végh
According to several sources, dr. László Végh had an important role in the non-official artistic milieu of Budapest in the 1960s: his lectures, private events, and actions provided an alternative, non-conformist model for art and life for his audience of young intellectuals. His archive, which was consciously being created, includes unique documents concerning the art of the era.
The presentation held in the Ludwig Museum Budapest is an attempt to reconstruct the atmosphere of the former events, at which selected items from the archive, including compositions by composers like Stockhausen and Boulez, poems by poets like Tandori and Weöres, and his own concrete music compositions and piano improvisations were presented with his personal interpretations.
